Tax Technology Course: Light Green Belt

The Light Green Belt course strengthens your ability to navigate tax technology transformation from a strategic and operational perspective, covering how tax authorities and multinational enterprises (MNEs) build roadmaps, integrate digital tools, manage change, and reinforce governance and compliance in a data-driven tax environment. You’ll work through tax-relevant data and data models, stakeholder approaches to running tax tech projects, change management and communication, taxpayers’ rights, real-world use cases, and the evolving role of the tax professional.

What You'll Learn

A professional certified with a Light Green Belt gains a manager-level understanding of tax technology transformation, including data models, stakeholder management, and change management.

Data Models & Tax-Relevant Data

Build a comprehensive understanding of tax-relevant data, how it flows upstream and downstream, and how data models are designed and used to support tax workflows and reporting.

Governance & Staying in Control

Build a practical understanding of governance in tax workflows, what “being in control” looks like and how to organize responsibilities effectively. You’ll work with frameworks such as RACI, including how governance applies to allocating user rights in IT solutions.

Use Cases, Taxpayer Rights & The Future Tax Professional

Explore real-world use cases to connect concepts to practice, while also examining taxpayers’ rights in a digital environment. The course also addresses the new tax professional; the soft skills, translation skills, and stakeholder communication needed to operate effectively in modern tax technology projects.

Tax Tech Roadmaps (Tax Authorities & MNEs)

Learn how tax authorities and multinational enterprises (MNEs) plan and run tax tech projects; from setting a baseline and defining objectives to selecting workflows to automate and choosing supporting functionality/software.

Digital Trends in Taxation

Stay current on the digital trends shaping taxation, including the shift toward real-time data sharing and concepts such as co-compliance. You’ll also explore near-term developments and questions likely to shape the next phase of tax-relevant data flows and operating models.
